HR 308 – New Supervisor Training

The majority of supervisors in a charter school environment receive no formal training on how to be a supervisor.  To address this, we created an introductory course that starts with the difference between leading versus managing, how to promote civility in the workplace and reviews the top 10 mistakes commonly made by supervisors.  We describe situations when a supervisor should engage Human Resources.  On a day-to-day basis, we coach supervisors how to handle meal and rest break scheduling, how to respond to requests for a leave of absence or intermittent use of a leave of absence, what to do if an employee is injured, how to address inappropriate employee attire and how to handle resignations or terminations.

This training can be done onsite/in-person or virtually.

Contact CharterSAFE's HR staff to schedule any onsite training at your school (hr@chartersafe.org or 916-880-3461)
