WEB 105 – Training Supervisors: Your First Line of HR Defense (2020 CCSA Presentation/Webinar)

A supervisor’s actions (or failure to act) while unintentional can expose your school to potential legal and financial liability. Having knowledgeable supervisors who can recognize potential HR “red flags” will support your school in fostering a proactive Human Resources practice. In this course we will make a business justification for your school leadership to support a training program for your supervisors to include the following topics: protected classes, harassment, discrimination, retaliation, leaves, The Americans with Disabilities Act, rest & meal periods, paid sick leave, job descriptions, and terminations.

This course was originally developed as a breakout session for the 2020 California Charter Schools Association Conference and then modified into a webinar format for attendee viewing.
